mouth 0 #1 November 22, 2004 I just spent the past hour fussing at a class of children who behave like they were raised in a barn by farm animals. The teacher who has the class after me called to see WHAT in the world was up with them. After discussion we concluded we had so many things to be thankful for...namely that none of those children have to go home with us every night. That of course got me to thinking about things I am thankful for, so here is just a short list: friends - many of whom are DZ.com friends. I don't know how I'd make it through any day without some of ya'll. Thank you to those who brighten my day with a PM and a smile. family - my family is at least as messed up as the next one and more so than most, but I still love them. health - for an old woman life has treat me quite well. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit. feuergnom 29 #2 November 22, 2004 kids can behave in such a manner that you would want to kill them back to your post: just today i was thinking about the same stuff. things i am thankfull for. for me it's kinda like the basic stuff water from the tap that is not only drinkable but tastes real good having a job that feeds me (plus enables my to jump out of planes on a regular base - but that i consider to be pure luxury) being father to a wonderfull, grown-up son. he's just moved to his own appartement and he's on his way The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver #
2fat2fly 0 #3 November 22, 2004 You're in Georgia. The whole barn thing might be close to the truth I can say that because all of my family is from Stephens County....we're the hick mountain Georgians. Seriously, it's good to take stock regularly-I do believe that my precious wife gets a backrub this evening so that she'll know that I'm thankful for her.I am not the man. RkyMtnHigh 0 #4 November 22, 2004 My family, friends, my health (can you believe that I've NEVER been in a hospital as a patient!)....and to be alive!I'm so thankful for those I love and those who love me in return. Even those who are in my life for a short period of time, it was for a reason, and I am so grateful for that...and for those who are insane enough to stick with me for the long haul, I am ever so grateful for them as well. _________________________________________
unformed 0 #5 November 22, 2004 My family: that even though I don't talk to them much, and have had problems in the past, they do love me unconditionally ...... My friends: fucking good times The fact that I am still alive, and I realized at a pretty young age what it is to be alive, and that I want everything from it ... The fact that I'm wise enough to see my shortcomings and know enough people to help me out, to make better everything I want to better at. Women: for being a fucking confusing, but entertaining pain in the ass. because of them, i've felt the best i've ever felt in my life, and i've felt worse than you could ever imagine ..... i guess you can't appreciate heaven without experiencing hell first ....This ad space for sale. brierebecca 0 #7 November 22, 2004 Thanks for this thread, Lisa. I'm in the middle of my first exam period of law school and hating life, and this thread made me stop and consider that I have so many things to be thankful for, and that I shouldn't be freaking out over something that is really insignificant compared to the wonderful people and opportunities I have. Thanks for the wake-up call. Brie"Ive seen you hump air, hump the floor of the plane, and hump legs.
