soulshine 0 #2 November 26, 2004 I'm alone for the first time on Thanksgiving this year...talk about holiday blues! I decided to kick them in the ass by having a kids dream Turkey Day. I went by the grocery and picked up any junk food that I wanted, stopped by the wine shop, video store, and retired for the evening in my pj's. So, while every kid is cramming down turkey and yucky veggies, I'm sitting around watching cartoons and enjoying being a bum. Isn't life grand?! It isn't the same as quality family time but something has got to be siad for being drunk on a sugar buzz in your pj's!!! sorry you're feeling the blues though. Even with just one grandparent gone, it's definately harder to visit home for the holiday seasons, but at the same time I find great joy in seeing the family that I have left.. FGF #??? lightningbugirl 0 #4 November 26, 2004 I had surgery yesterday and it hurts really bad now because the Dr. only prescribed the good stuff for the first 24 hrs. and now I am on advil and ouch. I am so bored and even if I could actually go out and do something I wouldn't be allowed to and I am not allowed to lift and so walking my big dog hurts like a sob. How's that? I just left a family gathering at my aunts house where all i heard about was how gay i am... IM FUCKIN MARRIED for Christs sake!!! I for one am so sick and tired of the same old bullshit hearing about how bad you were as kids and how you have grown into adults and How fuckin crazy you are for skydiving as a hobby.. I just wanted to tell everyone how fuckin closed minded and gutless they are for not even giving it a thought. But on the flip side im kind of glad that they dont. I wouldnt want to see them at the dropzone anyway. Another thing is I spent 25 bucks on Pies and another 30 bucks on other side dishes that i made myself and no one even looked at them. Well FUCK THEM is all i can say. I will not do it again. The way I look at my family now is that if they want to get ahold of me they have my address. If not then I dont need em anyway!!!
