pilotdave 0 #29 November 29, 2004 0:3:1 Did my first IAD jump. That's some crazy stuff. Did 2 of em to get a couple instructors recurrent for the winter, even though the DZ doesn't do IAD anymore. I had never even seen an IAD jump in my life. Seeing my own PC in the plane was strange enough... feeling my bridle flapping around on my back while hanging from the wing strut at 3000 feet was just...different. It was like going back in time to the 1930s (j/k)! Also got in my first RW jump in at least a month (just a tandem and the 2 IADs in the last month). So much fun, but I'm so rusty. Tunnel time in january is gonna be...interesting. Dave
Vallerina 2 #30 November 29, 2004 Less than 1 week:0:0 Less than one week until the show! I practiced for it this past weekend. Then, I hung out with eeneR. Saturday night, I went to Indy, and I hung out with wildblue and some college friends. I had so much fun! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

dixieskydiver 0 #34 November 29, 2004 Quote/5/0 Hey Mikkel, I was at CSS this weekend (Sat-Sun only) and recognize you from your avatar. Next time I'll know to say hi. CSS is a great DZ and Scotty, Sparky, Jim Smith and Guy Wright provided outstanding LO for formation flyers. The band you mentioned was awesome -- some of the most refreshing new music I've heard in a while. Oh yeah, and I got to meet Mary (FlyAngel) who was out visiting a friend. She's a hottie. Yea man there were a bunch of dot commers running around up there and I met a few as well, including Mary. She recognized me as the "one that needs to lose weight" and I recognized her as "the lady that sticks her tongue in everyone's ear". I have you beat on the 80......easy . I seriously considered driving as far as Georgia or North Carolina to do some jumping but laziness won that fight. Kris. Icon134 0 #36 November 29, 2004 ::2 No skydiving this weekend... but on my way home from the "rents" where I ate too much food... My sis and I stopped in Berea, Ky (met up with my cousin, her husband, and some other friends of my sister's) and dropped a rope into a 5 ft diameter 60 ft deep hole for everyone to rappel into a hole to crawl around underground... First time I've done that before... (it was fun...I also drove my 2001 Mazda Protege' up a creek this weekend... Not something I ever plan to do again... (also a first and last I hope.) ladyskydiver 0 #43 November 30, 2004 1 sore, tired, exhausted, but happy chica: 2: 0 Got into Florida Friday and hung out with friends. Had some tunnel time and when I went up there, ran into James (English gentleman that I've seen at ZHills). He invited me and Susie to spend some time in the tunnel with him - for free - we were pleasantly surprised and had fun playing in the tunnel with him. I had another 30 minutes scheduled at 12:30am (Friday evening/Saturday morning) which ended up being 1 hour after having gotten out of the tunnel with James. Talk about exhausting!!! I'm glad I dragged Susie up there with me to take some of the tunnel time 'cause I definitely wasn't up to a full 30 minutes by myself. And the backflying I ended up doing - That's about the best I can say about it. Got to see Vinny and a few other friends at ZHills. Played in the 16-way competition - had fun even though my team took dead last...and I screwed up my slot on one of the jumps. Was sooo happy that I'd gotten to my slot before anyone else docked and then realized I was looking at the wrong ass. Oops! Went low...got back up and got my dock, but was mentally kicking myself for that one. Woke up Sunday morning and could tell you EVERY SINGLE muscle that is involved in tunnel time, laughing, and skydiving. Ouch! Wasn't moving fast at all...I'm pretty sure a snail or two passed me while I was attempting to move. Oh, well...had a great time anyway. And now...back home and back to work tomorrow.Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
Stacy 0 #44 November 30, 2004 my 16way team in christmas '01 took dead last too. of course, the last two places were a tie and the videos had to be reviewed to break the tie by seeing how many people actually made it in total. that was hilarious! The MOST full combat RW I've ever done!
