Well, there could be but I heard someone got kicked off the dz for doing the extension cord to electric heater in the tent thing. I think I'd rather be cold on the dz than stuck finding another place to pitch my tent... and since my job is on the dz getting kicked off it would be rather inconvienient.

If DZO wont let you mooch his juice... ask him if you can take a Coleman propane heater with you. coleman.com they are about the size of a toaster. All you need is a match and a some propane cartidges. Worked for me in Yellowstone in the 10F cold+snow.

Propane/gas heaters are not good inside a tent. i.e. they eat all the O2 and leave none for you...(don't ask for examples, I've got a few)
