nate_1979 9 #51 November 30, 2004 I've heard some mixed reviews on how well htat DO NOT CALL LIST works.... Do companies honestly sell enough to make it worth bugging everyone during dinner like they do? Seems that I dont know a single person who will buy something from a telemarketer, kinda like spam email... FGF #??? I miss the sky... There are 10 types of people in the world... those who understand binary and those who don't.

Zep 0 #55 December 1, 2004 I'd be intrested to hear how advanced are your cell phones (American one's) Here in Europe In my case Spain, I think the only thing my cell can't do is cook dinner!!!!! Example It's GSM dual frequency 880-960MHz and 1800-1990MHz national and international calls Fax send and recieve GPRS (WAP) internet and e-mail Camera built in MP3 music Video streeming and all the normal functions With the contract (FREE) I am obliged to make at least $6.00 amonth in phone calls or they will bill me $6.00 I pay 15cents a minute for cell to cell and 20cents a minute cell to fixed phone after first minute charges are billed by the second Every 18 months they give me a free phone Another option is buy a phone with a prepaid chip. IE: $50.00 in calls, When the chip runs out buy a scratch card for a prepaid amount an recharge the chip. The advantage of this kind of cell is that it's untracable Gone fishing
Remster 30 #56 December 1, 2004 Zep, after living in the UK and now in Canada (which has about the same cell technology as the US), I'd say North America is about 2-4 years behind is usage of the features. GSM is not as standard here, SMS is just not has spread out in use, never mind advanced SMS features. Phones are out with video capability now, but I dont think there's a lot of bandwith wused by them.Remster
SpeedRacer 1 #57 December 1, 2004 I got a cheap phone w/the plan. it'll cost me like $40.00 ($70 minus $30 rebate). the plan is paid monthly. $39.95 for unlimited calls anywhere in USA to anyone who also has AT&T or Cingular, and 450 minutes for calls to anyone else during the day (these minutes can be rolled over to the next month if unused) and 5000 minutes for weekend/evening use. probably more than I'd use. and yes, the phone has a camera & you can email, access the web, download music and games etc., a whole bunch of features I'm just beginning to figure out. and will probably not use.
