Wow, if you are really that bothered by it I feel sorry for you. That must really suck to be dragged down every day from other people's joy. I like to decorate. I decorate when I and my family are ready and we feel like it. Sorry, but please don't judge me and put me into some materialistic catagory with the some of societies overboard capitalists.

We'll usually decorate the house the day after Thanksgiving, but we don't put the tree up until my mom's birthday on December 10th. It's just a tradition to wait until then. Otherwise we'd put it up the day after Thanksgiving with everything else.

Thanksgiving is over, it's legal. My neighbor was out putting up lights Fri morning after Thanksgiving; he couldn't take it any more. But hey, as long as they're not going up before Halloween.

(OK, when I was a kid in school we made these turkey centerpieces with a pine cones and orange feathers, but........)
