mouth 0 #2 December 1, 2004 At least they waited until after Thanksgiving...heck, they waited until after Halloween too I really hate Walmart for putting Christmas stuff out before Halloween. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit. mailin 0 #3 December 1, 2004 What is it about Christmas decorations that makes you angry? I don't understand why christmas music and decorations do that to folks. I love christmas and can't wait to get together with my family (some of whom I see only once a year) and enjoy the scents and tastes of christmas. Its a wonderful time of year. If you haven't noticed, the malls have had decorations up for more than a month. JenArianna Frances
weegegirl 2 #4 December 1, 2004 Ha! You would hate me then! I LOVE Christmas! I'm almost done with my shopping, our tree is up, I've been listening to Christmas music in my car and at home, and yesterday I started filling out my Christmas cards. I guess when you have little kids around you all the time it's more exciting. You see, the only reason people start putting up decorations earlier than the acceptable (Dec 16th) is because Walmart does. So they walk around stores and see all the decorations for sale, and all the decorations that are put up in the store. They are then made to believe it is time to put up decorations. Thats bullcrap. Why decorate anyways? I agree that christmas should be a festive occasion, but anything gets anoying after such a long time. Celebrating for a week is quite exhaustive, nevermind a month! Look at any other culture and their elongated festivals. They dance and celebrate for the alloted amount of time, then go home. They dont decorate a month beforehand! Yeah. Putting lights on a house when there's too much snow on the ground or the temps are cold enough to freeze your fingers....not really too fun. Plus the day after thanksgiving, most families are together so they can decorate as a family. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!
