adamjenner 0 #1 December 1, 2004 Alright maybe someone here who's a computer nerd can help me out. My mozilla won't run. I click on firefox, nothing happens. doesn't pop up. now if you go into the CTRL+ATL+DEL and click on processes it's "supposedly" running. Anyone know what the problem may be? I even re-installed it and when it was finished it asked if you'd like to launch firefox, i say yes and even then still no firefox...i'm on IE now but i hate IE....HATE it. please help me
AndyMan 7 #2 December 1, 2004 My first guess is to run Check Disk until it comes back clean. go start / run / and type "chkdsk c:" -> then hit enter. Keep doing it until CheckDisk no longer returns any errors. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

AndyMan 7 #4 December 1, 2004 I have gotten that bug a few times, but in each case I could kill it through task manager, and it'd start up properly the next time... _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
indyz 1 #5 December 1, 2004 Important! Only do the following if Andy's solution doesn't work. You will loose your plugins and pretty much everything except for your bookmarks if you follow my instructions. Open up the Task Manager and end any Firefox processes that are still running. Then go to c:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Application Data\Mozilla There should be two files (pluginreg and registry) and a folder (Firefox). Delete the files and rename Firefox to FirefoxBackup. Try running Firefox again.
adamjenner 0 #6 December 1, 2004 that worked yet all my precious bookmarks are gone oh well...
indyz 1 #7 December 1, 2004 Dig through your FirefoxBackup folder. You are looking for two files called bookmarks.html and bookmarks.xml. Put them in the same place in the new Firefox folder that should have been automatically created.
