billvon 3,123 #1 December 1, 2004 Well, they take some power, but in this case only about 3 watts a string. This year I did the front of the house in white and blue LED lights and the back in multicolor. Total power used - 21 watts. If I left them on from now until christmas it would cost me just under $1 (if I paid for power, that is.) Pictures below. The glare from the north is the neighbor's 700 watts worth of white outdoor C-7 christmas lights.

nate_1979 9 #7 December 1, 2004 Nice, ... One of my buddies just wired some LED lighting into a hallway in his house, .. Looks REALLY cool and like you said, costs nothing to light up.. He is a guy who just likes to rig things kinda weird though, using an old phone charger to power them FGF #??? I miss the sky... JohnRich 4 #9 December 1, 2004 Very nice. And LED lights are supposed to last almost forever without burning out, unlike traditional xmas lights. I'm surprised they are that cheap, since I see places selling LED flashlights for a small fortune. Because of that, I figured that LED's made things expensive. But these lights show otherwise. Deuce 1 #10 December 1, 2004 Dude, put the cover on the BillRVon with a big bow! It'll look like a giant Christmas gift! I think a nice lighted concentric ring thingie, like from Close Encounters of the Third Kind on the roof would be cool. I'm still very occupied trimming all my outside trees so people can see the house. Hopefully I'll have my lower tech lights up by Friday. Tree too!
