Rdutch 0 #1 December 2, 2004 I was watching a movie about a guy that became blind at the age of 30. It was very hard to learn how to handle it, but in time he overcame and learned how to get around and do normal day to day things. So we were talking about it and I came up with this idea. This morning I woke up and decided I would try and do the blind thing just to see if I could do it. So I didn't open my eyes (I know, too much time on my hands) I took a shower, it definitely took me a little thinking to think of exactly where my soap ect was but I found it almost first try. Then I went and made cerial for breakfast, that was difficult I made a bowl that was filled not enough with way too much milk. Then the hard part getting dressed, I actually found the shirt I wanted and shorts. It really wasn't that hard it took me a little bit to stop and think ahead where everything was, but I found my tv remote (I know, what for?) my shoes and did all that without opening my eyes from wake up. The shoes and remote are an acomplishment because I usually cant find them with my eyes open, it actually was easier when I had to think where the were instead of looking for them. So lets see how you do, I dont expect you all to do something as big as I did, try something small. Oh yeah don't try this skydiving the landings will suck. Its weird to think that you actually know your clothes by how they feel instead of how they look. Anyway lets see how good a blind person you would make. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of! adamjenner 0 #10 December 2, 2004 I'm reting the blinc rhinf while rtping i hop it works out alright. hahaha okay what it's suppose to say is "i'm trying the blind thing while typing, i hope it works out alright" This reminds me of RFDD in high school (respect for differences day) where we'd like tape a board on our leg so we couldn't move it, cover our eyes, can't talk, move around in wheelchairs, just to get the idea of what others were like...I was the blind wheelchair bound guy with no use of my left arm...it was mighty tough. AnotherGoodin 0 #11 December 2, 2004 Haha that reminds me of when me and my best friend were in geometry class and the teacher was never there so we would have contest to see who could draw the best with are eyes closed... but being deaf on top of that would had been much worse b/c we couldnt run back to our seats when we hear the teacher comming...If life gives you lemons then make lemonade, if not then go thirsty and keep on truckin'
