baby squirrel-

Recommended Posts

We have mutant man eating monster squirrels at my house in Phila. area. They mug people. They rob them and threaten them too. They come right up on your step and they yell at you. They are very scary. I once saw one carry a whole loaf of great harvest's lo-carb bread straight up a tree with one paw over it's little fat head. I think we have a squirrel mafia in our town. :o

Your squirrel is so much cuter. They are so cute and sweet. My experiences with Phila. squirrels have made me predjudiced I think. :S:P
Please feel free to reply to my posts and pm's, but only if you're smart enough to understand what they really mean.

:D

Must be something about city areas. The squirrels in Providence are similar. I've never seen one sit on the hood of your car while you start your car and then try to play with your windshield wipers, while they're on! :o

I feed the blue jays peanuts every day- they back off when the squirrels are around though, like the squirrels have rule over them? It is odd to see baby squirrels in Dec. here, the older ones are either black or grey- babies are brown??

Cool - can I bring my bird over? I'll bet those squirrels aren't that fast.

OK, you are a falconer.
What kind of bird is it? Seems to be quite young.
Anyhow not a falcon. What is it? Correct me, if I'm wrong.
:|
Thx

Well done, you are correct on both counts. He's not a falcon, he's a red-tailed hawk - a very common bird over here in the States. And yes, he was young when that picture was taken, still in his immature plumage. He's almost a year older now. Here's a more recent picture.

Am I interpreting your emoticons correctly to say that you don't think too highly of the sport?

No.
Don't take me wrong. I am a hunter. I am a fisherman. I am a falconer. That's quite rare regarding women. I do not mind. It took so many years learning all on that. Especially on birds.

Just to have a look on that bird in your pic shows me what you did. That bird did not hunt that animal. That bird is much too young.

In my country, you would not be allowed to own falcons. You are not a falconer.

That's just a fake.

You are a falconer, eh? Yes, that is rare among women. What kind of bird do you fly?

You presume quite a bit. I assure you that is not a fake. Why is that so difficult for you to believe? As a falconer, you should know that every raptor fledges at between about 4-8 weeks of age and is fully capable of hunting on its own at that point. What makes you think Jazz is less than 6 weeks old in that picture? He's certainly not downy.

In my country I am not allowed to own a falcon either. The state owns them, I merely have a license to possess him, so I guess you are right about that.

Falconry is wicked, I'd love to get involved in it sometime.

And that is a stunning photo of Jazz, no wonder it was the sport of kings:)

Yeah, he likes to pose. Nowadays, its the sport of people who don't mind crawling around in the dirt and getting their skin shredded by heavy brush.
