Evelyn 0 #1 December 6, 2004 Okay, so I don't drink alone, but my husband is at the Charger game and my kids are wherever (last I heard from my daughter she was getting the SC football team drunk for the SC/UCLA game - she's a UCLA fan but friends with the SC coach). So now I wanna drink, but I can't drink alone so someone else has to share my bottle of wine. Any takers? AirMail 0 #5 December 6, 2004 I've been wanting some "Red Mountain" wine lately. I think it's about the same price range. P--- It's never too late to have a happy childhood. Postal Rodriguez, Muff 3342

AggieDave 6 #8 December 6, 2004 Sometime you should get your hands on a bottle of Messina Hof wines...its a local TX winery that's been making a pretty big splash, winning awards, etc. Good stuff to say the least.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." dzdiva 7 #9 December 6, 2004 This chick had a little too much holiday cheer last night. No more drinking for me....well at least til the next time. Evelyn 0 #10 December 6, 2004 Good advice, but I don't drink the "good stuff" unless I'm bringing a bottle of wine to a party. I drink two buck chuck at home but my husband wine snob that he is won't let me bring the two buck chuck outside home. So I'll keep your suggestion in mind for next time I bring wine to a party. AggieDave 6 #12 December 6, 2004 Only the "Paulo" wine, which is their signature wine is expensive. The rest is $10-15 a bottle (around here anyways) which is what I consider a cheap bottle of wine.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Funny, my husband, being a wine snob doesn't think twice about paying $50 for a bottle of good wine, but I'm happy with my two buck chuck. Yeah, I'll taste his good wine and I'll usually like it, but he likes the reds and I like the whites. Guess the real wine drinkers drink the reds. Oh well, so I'm wine illiterate. AggieDave 6 #14 December 6, 2004 QuoteGuess the real wine drinkers drink the reds. Billshit. They're not "real wine drinkers" they're just assholes. As for good wine that's cheap over there in CA that's different, try Yellow Tail, its an Australian winery.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." AirMail 0 #15 December 6, 2004 Remember, wine is a very personal thing. If you like it, it is good. His taste buds are not in your mouth. Well, not always. P--- It's never too late to have a happy childhood. Postal Rodriguez, Muff 3342
Evelyn 0 #16 December 6, 2004 Actually I tried the yellow tail wine based on advice from DZ.commers. I liked the chardonnay, but for the price still prefer my two buck chuck, but my husband (wine snob) really liked the Shiraz.
