I'm Opening a Bottle of Wine

Recommended Posts

Okay, so I don't drink alone, but my husband is at the Charger game and my kids are wherever (last I heard from my daughter she was getting the SC football team drunk for the SC/UCLA game - she's a UCLA fan but friends with the SC coach). So now I wanna drink, but I can't drink alone so someone else has to share my bottle of wine. Any takers?

Sometime you should get your hands on a bottle of Messina Hof wines...its a local TX winery that's been making a pretty big splash, winning awards, etc. Good stuff to say the least.:)

Good advice, but I don't drink the "good stuff" unless I'm bringing a bottle of wine to a party. I drink two buck chuck at home but my husband wine snob that he is won't let me bring the two buck chuck outside home. So I'll keep your suggestion in mind for next time I bring wine to a party. Thanks!

Only the "Paulo" wine, which is their signature wine is expensive. The rest is $10-15 a bottle (around here anyways) which is what I consider a cheap bottle of wine.

We probably wouldn't find that in Cali, cuz there are so many local wineries. Funny, my husband, being a wine snob doesn't think twice about paying $50 for a bottle of good wine, but I'm happy with my two buck chuck. Yeah, I'll taste his good wine and I'll usually like it, but he likes the reds and I like the whites. Guess the real wine drinkers drink the reds. Oh well, so I'm wine illiterate.

Billshit.

They're not "real wine drinkers" they're just assholes.

As for good wine that's cheap over there in CA that's different, try Yellow Tail, its an Australian winery.:)

Actually I tried the yellow tail wine based on advice from DZ.commers. I liked the chardonnay, but for the price still prefer my two buck chuck, but my husband (wine snob) really liked the Shiraz.

Evelyn,

Frenchy was drinking beer. . .I made sure of that. I didn't want to share the wine with him. . .though I think he did get a hold of some of Amazon's Aftershock. . .lol

I showed up at CR on Friday night; before I can say hello to anyone, Darcy stuffed a glass of beer in my hand!:)Now, that's what I called being civilized!

Not really in the mood for wine....I've been drinking melonballs. Midori, vodka, and juice. Can I join you anyway?

(p.s. how's the bengal doing?)
