mouth 0 #2 December 5, 2004 Nothing....absolutely nothing....none That sums up my weekend. Most of Friday was spent dealing with the brand new lights on my Christmas tree. Thank you Usskydiver for pointing out that the directions say only three strands together. Finally it works. Most of yesterday was spent tying bows and hanging ornaments or trying to finish up my shopping or at the Christmas parade with my girls. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit. nate_1979 9 #4 December 5, 2004 Hmm, can I count Thursday? I'm going to , cuz otherwise my numbers just suck WAY more due to clouds and rain... :6:1 Six jumps since thursday, 5 coach jumps on Thursday with Pat at Perris (awsome), then drove all the way back to Perris to get 1 hop-n-pop on saturday since my DZ was raining... windcatcher 0 #5 December 5, 2004 :2:1? : One awesome karoake song w/ my rigger, sung "Love Shack" 2: Sean, Clayton and I all were planning to make a round in the air--Sean couldn't catch me, AGAIN, I fall fast! Clayton got close to me, touched my leg in freefall, even though I never saw him or Sean until under canopy. 2nd jump, Clayton and I docked, matched fall rates a few times, docked again, did a right 360 turn. and docked and held it until break off. I'm such a newbie, my 2nd jump of the day was so awesome, it felt great to be able to fly and adjust my fall rate. First jump w/ a throw out pilot chute, first jump on a 170 (I've been jumping 220's, 190) Had 2 standup landings, one awesome landing on the Sabre 170--it felt great! wonderful weekend, met some cool guys (Jason from Raeford---very amusing sense of humor ) Mother to the cutest little thing in the world... Frenchy68 0 #12 December 5, 2004 QuoteDid he say anything good about me? Yes he did. But it deserves its own thread! Stop hi-jacking. My week end sucked. Low clouds, and I was too lazy to pack my brandspankingslipperylikehell canopy for a hop & pop. And I hate myself for not doing so now! Well, at least I downed 3 margeritas at the Bombshelter. Well, at least I downed 3 margeritas at the Bombshelter. Hey Frenchie, I totally sympathize with you. I showed up at Elsinore Saturday morning and the clouds were comin in, could have maybe gotten in a hop and pop, but having one of those brandspankingslipperylikehell canopies decided I'll skip today and come back tomorrow when the weather is better. Today was worse, would have loved to do a hop and pop, but couldn't even do that Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

Amazon 7 #17 December 5, 2004 : 0:0 Just sitting at home watching movies in the rain drenched skies of the foothills of the American Alps. A HUYGE snowstorm over on the other side of the mountains and up in the passes. I took a drive up there yesterday and played in the snow...LIKE DUDE... there is more to life than just skydiving....THERE ARE LOTS of ways to get my adrenalin fix
Evelyn 0 #18 December 6, 2004 Yeah, Jeanne, I've been saying I'll go snowboarding when I can't jump, but then end up hangin at the DZ half the day waiting for the weather to clear and then it's too late to go snowboarding. Guess when I come visit you I'll bring my snowboard or some good movies, or maybe I'll wait and visit in the summer . pilotdave 0 #19 December 6, 2004 2 trips to the dz:0:1 I guess Our otter is down for maintenance, so we were a busy cessna DZ on satruday. All hop n' pops for an accuracy competition. I manifested for load 14. Plane taxied into a portable helipad on load 11... no more cessna. Today we flew in a twin otter. Got a load together, went up to 14,000, opened the door, waited for a green light, and then started to descend. Someone on the ground reported gusts to 30 knots. And that was it for the day. But at the DZs annual dinner dance last night, I won the most improved skydiver award and got a big trophy. Not my first skydiving trophy but it still seems beerworthy. Oh also won $195 off a bev suit in a raffle. Woohoo! Dave

sunshine 2 #22 December 6, 2004 1:0:1 1 super awesome belly dance show i went to. It was very cool to see Val perform. And i was lucky enough to get a hottie to come with me. 0 jumps cause i'm not crazy enough to jump in the coooold. 1 case owed for my first time ever driving in downtown chicago. I've always been the passenger, but this time i drove. And i really don't ever wanna do it again. I could never deal with that traffic on a daily basis. But i guess for Val it was worth it. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!
