skycat 0 #1 November 29, 2004 Well part of me didn't want to do it, cause I really liked not having a car payment. It was time though, the Mustang has A LOT of miles and was starting to need a lot of work. So I traded her in on a Mazda 6 Sport Wagon, in a silvery light green color. Since it's snowing like crazy and there is a foot of snow on her it's kind of hard to take a good picture.Fly it like you stole it!
AggieDave 6 #2 November 29, 2004 Mazada 6's are really cool cars. They drive well and have quite a bit of power under the hood. They even look good and are comfortable (even for an ape like me) in the cab. If I actually wanted a car, a Mazada 6 is one I would really look at. Congrats on the new car.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
mx757 4 #3 November 29, 2004 nice car.. yea I know all about payments.. I just bougt a 2005 VW Jetta tdi diesel. nice car and it gets 40 mpg around town.. should get 49 to 50 on highway.. but I've never taken it on highway yet, and don't plan too... as my long trip travel is via AA jets.. hey its free... cheaper than driving, and faster too.. but the Jetta turbo disel been nice. really good on fuel, and lots power too

BillyVance 35 #19 November 29, 2004 Mazda really did a great job making their Proteges (not all that different from the 6). We have a 1996 Protege still running good at 150,000 miles, though it's time to have the brakes done. The 6 would be one option to seriously look at when the Protege peters out. However, no more new cars for a while, if ever. After buying a 2000 Toyota Tundra and a 2003 Toyota Spyder new, I'm about sick of the damn monthly payments, and besides, the value of those new cars drop some 3 or 4 thousand dollars the minute you drive them off the lot. I haven't kept up with the model developments since they had the 323, 626 and 929 lines... If I can still get the Protege up to 110 mph on the highway with 150,000 miles on it, that's still something, ain't it? skycat 0 #22 November 29, 2004 I was lucky, they have a $4000 cash back deal going on right now that I took rather than the 0.0% financing. That plus the trade in really brought my cost down.Fly it like you stole it!
