Calculate your BMI

BMI is bullshit. Even when I was down to around 10% body fat my BMI had me listed as obese.

If you're a weight lifter, the BMI means basically nothing, body fat % does (and unfortunately mine is high right now...working on that).

Thank you. Congrats to you also. I've been waiting a little longer than 15 years but I'm an old cat. I taped a segement on the Maury Povich Show last month about obesity. I'll let you know when it airs.

20.7

but i agree with Dave.. I've lost a good bit of muscle since my accident and gained some fat... that simple math test says nothing about your actual fitness level...[:/]

Mine came up with 19.8 and I definitely need to lose about 15lbs. What's up with that?:S

It's all how a person looks as a whole. Some people carry extra weight really well and look fine. Others may put on 5lbs and it's noticeable. I should weigh between 155 and 160. Right now I'm at 170. All I hear is OMG, you've put on so much weight! I say, if you're comfortable with the way your body looks, then you're their!

Now I'm off to eat some Haagen Daz.B|

Agreed. I've been as low as 8% body fat with 19 inch arms and it showed me as 27.5. I think it's just some wayward actuary insurance math.
Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
