idlewild70 0 #13 December 6, 2004 Quotewhat ever did happen on those 2 cutaways?? what dz's/states were you in? best of luck on getting your B, this should be interesting !!! my first was in rhode island at BPSC. i had a lineover on my canopy that would not clear, and the canopy was not steerable so i chopped it. i landed in the LZ on this one. the second one was on rental gear at pepperell. using their gear, i deployed. i had a good canopy (pd 280) over my head. i grabbed the toggles and as i was pulling them down to flare the right one was no longer attached to the steering line, needless to say i was not happy. i tried rear risers, but was getting nothing from them. i was pulling so hard, i lifted myself out of the harness, and i did not have any controllability so i chopped it and had an uneventful reserve ride. i landed out, but the field i landed in was bigger then my home DZs LZ. and yes i kept my handles on both cutaways and i even kept the steering toggle.-Fish Blue skies, Soft landings Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
