Rebecca 0 #1 December 8, 2004 Sometimes, like today, I'm in the middle of something at work, and I choose not to break my train of process to go out for lunch. We have this little closet that our admin (bless her) stocks with food. Junk food, mostly. Today, I'm having a can of Campbell's Soup at Hand Classic Tomato, a tiny bag of Cool Ranch Doritos and a Diet Coke. I don't wanna know what this is doing to my body, so don't tell me. Can any of you suggest shelvable foods that would be a yummy, more-nutritious option that I could bring in myself? What's your favorite ready-to-eat food? (And don't say MRE's - I know what those taste like!) you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
mailin 0 #2 December 8, 2004 Actually, thats a really good lunch. Those 'soup-at-hand' are pretty low in fat and calories, but have lots of sodium, so drink lots of water. Those little bags of doritos aren't too bad - maybe substitute wheat thins or something instead. JenArianna Frances
wmw999 2,589 #3 December 8, 2004 I have tiny little red lentils and whole wheat couscous; you can cook the lentils in about 5 minutes in the microwave, then toss in a little couscous while they cool. Add some curry powder (or some other kind of spice) and eat up. Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

Deuce 1 #5 December 8, 2004 A can of tuna with a little light mayo and some wheat thins is about as good as it gets. Hand-food wise I always had peanuts or protien bars handy.
