Daizey 0 #1 December 8, 2004 I know this sounds silly, but my dad's been obsessed with finding a small (about 4 inches) cast iron frying pan...one that is just large enough to fit a single egg in.....he hasn't found one as of yet and I thought it would be cool to find him one for christmas... Well, after going through tons of kitchen stores, ebay, and tag sales I still have yet to find this tiny frying pan. Smallest (useable) one I have come across was 6 1/2 inches. I did find a 5 inch pan but it was rusted beyond belief Has anyone seen one or know of where I can find one? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! *daizey*
FlyingJ 0 #2 December 8, 2004 Uh...well if you feel like taking a chance and making a trip into NYC I gave one to the Goodwill on 181st Street about 5 months ago! Pretty much the exact thing you are looking for. Hated to give it away but when I moved I literally did not have enough room in the van for a little frying pan.Killing threads since 2004. nanook 1 #3 December 8, 2004 It might come in the form of one of those cheese and sausage christmas packets that sell as well as holiday fruitcake. I got one of those for christmas a couple of years back. It was an actual mini-cast iron pan (3 1/2 to 4 inches)with a link of sausage, a wedge of cheese and a box of four crackers on a bed of paper grass. You might be able to find one online in one of those businesses that do that._____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
AggieDave 6 #4 December 8, 2004 This is the closest I could find: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00008GKCA/ref=nosim/searchengin07-20/002-5843833-2224866?dev-t=D3640U3GS53SRF A guy I used to know had a super small cast iron skillet he used at rendevues (frontiersmen re-enactment...I used to do that, anyways), but I'll be damned if I can remember where he got it.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Option 1: Target has 8" skillets and some have a 6" for a single-egg omlette. Option 2: Look at Coleman, they have all sorts of campware cookery (trust me they've thought of everything) and you can order it online. ____________________________________________________________ I'm RICK JAMES!
