Ouch!!! Police Dog Bites Nude Man in the Genitals

Recommended Posts

MINNEAPOLIS - A naked man was bit in the genitals by a police dog while being arrested for running nude and entering homes in a Minneapolis neighborhood. The man was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

According to police reports, a police canine unit found the nude suspect shortly after noon Tuesday in a house on the 5400 block of Park Avenue South.

While the officer was ordering the suspect out of the house, the suspect began hitting him, police said.

The dog, which was still leashed, bit the suspect to protect the officer.

Officer Ron Reier, a department spokesman, said police dogs are trained to bite if their partner is attacked. However, dogs are not trained to bite in the groin area. Reier said the dog likely just jumped and bit the man, who was moving around at the time.

"The dog did what the dog is trained to do, and that is protect his handler," Reier said.

After the man was bit, he continued to attack officers and police used a stun gun before eventually restraining him, police said.

The dog was removed from street duty while the incident is being reviewed, and the suspect is in police custody, Reier said.

I saw a police dog tear a guy's scrotum open.

It was a time when I wished that dogs could talk.

"Lay down with your arms stretched straight out, palms up"

"F*ck all you motherf*ckers!"

"Lay down or we will send the dog"

"F*ck your punkassed dog! I'll KILL the motherf*cking dog!"

"FOOSE!"

"AIEEEEE! My dick! My dick! G*ddamn dog ate my DICK! Where's my dick!!"

"Gute hunde..."

Is this like when a cop shoots someone? Do they have to make sure it wasn't excessive force?
Is there psychological help available to the dog? :P

Using a dog is "less than lethal" force. Kinda like a beanbag round.

Newly minted police dogs spend a lot of time chasing people around who are wearing these thick canvas practice bite/takedown suits. The first time a dog gets a "soft tissue" bad-guy bite is an anxious time. The dog usually gets a little freaked about the change in taste and has to be encouraged to re-bite the offender (only if the offender is still resisting) until they get good at biting bad-guy soft tissue with gusto.

The dog doesn't need counseling, just livasnaps ;)

Very true. Still I cant believe the guy continued to attack the officer after being bitten. He must've been on something. No way can any normal man stand up after a slight brush down there let alone a German Shepard bite. Wonder if the dog just bit and released, or bit, gave a nice shake, then tug and finally released.

They are trained to not release until given the command to do so. I'd go with your first assumption, he was probably on something:)
