AggieDave 6 #3 December 10, 2004 I've got a lot of Ricky Skaggs, Ralph stanley and other classic bluegrass artists, a lot of the stuff they do has amazing harmony in it. Drives me crazy, I wish I could sing like that and I sure as hell wish I could play guitar like that! If you haven't listened to bluegrass before or not seriously, look up some Ricky Skaggs or Kentucky Thunder or Bill Monroe or Ralph Stanley or Alison Krauss...the list could go on, Blue Grass has quite a few really good musicians.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." bob.dino 1 #11 December 10, 2004 Two very different pieces: The Mamas and the Papas - California Dreaming. I just love the close harmonies. Allegri - Miserere Mei. Possibly the finest choral work ever composed. Sends shivers up my spine every time I hear it.

I saw the title of the thread, and came in to post Eagles, Seven Bridges Road! There is nothing tighter than the Eagles doing their version live. OH MY GOD, these guys were great. They're the best, tightest harmony of any band from their era, and really, any band at all. I've not heard another band which can do that without fail every time.
