nsh 0 #1 August 6, 2009 Hi All, I believe this must be discussed already - but I couldn't seem to find much relevant info in the forum. Could anybody please point me to the article/guide on how to choose the jumpsuit? Thanks in advance!
NealFitz 0 #2 August 6, 2009 you can design them yourself on the various websites that offer them. print off your order form fill out the measurements and your set to go (also have some money. best place to start i my opinion are tony suits or symbiosis suits (type into google)Dudeist Skydiver #170 You do not need a parachute to skydive, you only need one to skydive again
nsh 0 #3 August 6, 2009 Well, it's good to know that I can design it myself. ) something that on the one hand would be suitable for my limited experience but on another hand would not limit me progressing in the freefall.

wmw999 2,588 #5 August 6, 2009 This is one of those cases where someone who knows you can give you much better advice than someone on the internet. They can see how you're built, and have some idea of how fast you fall. That makes a difference. Jumpsuits are custom-built; however, something that is inexpensive and reasonably close (for height, build, and weight) can cost much less. Your build will determine how much fabric is hanging off you, and whether it's bigger in the shoulders, waist, or hips. Most newer jumpers start with a belly suit, because while you might want to get into freeflying eventually, belly skills are necessary to be good at freeflying. If that's the case, then look hard at used jumpsuits, because your first (belly) suit probably won't be used forever. Talk to your instructors, really. You can do a search through the classifieds in the "Jumpsuits" section for your height or weight (I don't suggest both, it's just too unlikely), and see what pops up. But most dz gear shops have a selection of jumpsuits that people no longer use and are hoping to get rid of as well. Try some on. danielcroft 2 #6 August 6, 2009 To elaborate slightly on this point, the type of material that your jumpsuit is made out of is also important. Chat to your instructor/coaches.
