dropzonefool 0 #1 December 14, 2004 Is anyone else concerned about the elongated ring on the three ring relese on the new Icon risers? Stated to help reduce the force of a hard pull, I have no problem with the gear but dose anayone else worry about it twisting anf becoming stuck? I am no master rigger and am making no clames about Icon

No. Play with one for a while and you'll see it's not an issue, because it's not possible.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. karlm 0 #3 December 14, 2004 I jump th Icon I3 .... at first the Mini Force Risers looked a bit odd. Have spoken to the guys at Aerodyne, and did some basic ground testing myself and am confident there will be no issue. A jumper at our club has cutaway from a main, using the Mini Force risers, and she said there was little to no force on the pull from her spinning malfunction. Better never to have met you in my dream than to wake and reach for hands that are not there.

diablopilot 2 #6 December 14, 2004 Thanks for the confidence in my opinion! Since you're in Florida already it shouldn't be too hard to find one as Aerodyne is in Tampa. Take a look for yourself. It's a neat idea.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
karlm 0 #7 December 14, 2004 np on the reply ...... Get down to your local DZ, I am sure you will see an Icon there, otherwise contact Aerodyne and get them to do a demo for you. Over all the Icon is a solid rig, with many neat safety features. Better never to have met you in my dream than to wake and reach for hands that are not there.
