inearnest 0 #7 December 7, 2004 Hit up NYC. Never a better place to visit and it has the Ranch and Cross Keys (and some place out on Long Island that I've never jumped from but has some beautiful photos on its site) within striking distance. Or you can just hit the city and relax. Or not relax. i'd say New York... but then again I'm biased.--- "Once you jump. you'll never look up at the sky the same way again." mcneill79 0 #8 December 7, 2004 Yeah, I've looked at it before. I've also done the drive from NYC to Islip many times... just so you know its about 1 1/2 hours without traffic My mom lives in Long Island now, so let me know if you have any quesitons. Amazon 7 #11 December 7, 2004 Quote I have Lost Prarie at the end of July but I'm making that a road trip. You could always go to BOSTON in August. I will be going to the World Cup Speed thingie at Jumptown at the end of August.. nice place.. great peeps. The Boston area has lots of stuff to do. Think of an East Coast Bay Area with LOBSTER. inearnest 0 #14 December 7, 2004 If you hit it right w/o traffic it's a gorgeous ride. But you're right... planning around traffic can be a real bitch in NYC. I've done it before though. And as for Boston being the Bay Area of the east (which I saw on someone's post) having grown up in the Bay Area I'm insulted. But Boston is indeed cool. inearnest 0 #19 December 7, 2004 My whole family is southern so I can attest that the deep south is a very cool place to visit. Still, I don't know that'd I'd ever put the deep south high on my list. South Carolina is gorgeous. Atlanta is just wierd. New Orleans is amazine (sorry, I'm cajun so I'm partial to it). Other places: Seattle is dope as hell. NYC rules (which goes without saying)... and then there's the middle of the country. I'm afraid I'm helping you get nowhere with this. Sorry. I've driven across the US a few times, but couldn't pick where I'd want to go if I had an open ticket. I could certainly tell you where to avoid... and West Virginia would be right up there.--- "Once you jump. you'll never look up at the sky the same way again."
