I think Jet Li trailers can look cool because trailers aren't supposed to have continuity. So the fact that the movie lacks continuity still makes a fine trailer.

Just my experience with past Jet Li movies. I look forward to the first one that doesn't have some major unignorable continuity shift in it.

I've had that movie on DVD for over a year and a half now. My friend saw it in the theater in China on opening day, and called me from a payphone to tell me about it. It's that absolutely amazing. He bought the DVD as soon as it came out and shipped it off to me. I've seen it a good two dozen times since.

Jet Li fans might like it, but Zhang Yimou fans will love it (I am the latter -- he's my favorite director). FYI, Quentin Tarantino had zero to do with this movie other than buying the rights for US distribution and slapping his name on it. Do not be deceived. This is a Zhang Yimou film. Regardless, definitely see it as soon as you can.

Yeah I saw a trailer and it mentioned QT, I was like no he hasnt worked on this. Donnie Yen is also in this movie too. You have two of the best, I would say in the top 5, martial artists in the World in this flick.

Jet Li is an awesome true martial artist.

I've seen the movie. It is one of the best movies I have seen this year. I completely love the movie. I totally understood the entire film.

If you grew up watching Kung Fu Theathre, you know Master of the Flying Giliteen, Fist of Fury, The five fingers of Death, ect, Then you can appreciatie what Tarantino was trying to convey.

I completely love the movie.

DITTO! i know this thread is old, but i just watched this movie last nite. i was completely blown away by the phenomenal visuals ~ WOW!

my favorite scene: battle between Flying Snow & Moon in the Yellow-Leaf-Trees! Absolutely BREATH-Taking - i've never seen a fight-scene that was done so gracefully, yet power enough to keep your mind occupied!!!

if you have a deep appreciation for Stunning Visuals... this movie is a Must-See B|*

Yup, great movie and I now own it. I have watched it twice since it came out on DVD - once in Chinese with subtitles and another in English. I feel the dialog is better without the english dub - they changed alot of it around to include slang and it just doesn't feel as majestic that way.

I don't know, the fight over the lake was pretty impressive.

ja i enjoyed that one the most... apparently it took 20 days to shoot that one scene.. there is only 2 hours a day when the lake is that smooth and glassy....

In China, it came out before the feature was released!:D
I bought mine in Shanghai as the movie was actually playing in theatres...
