alanab 0 #1 December 13, 2004 i went to a dualing piano bar called sing sing with my friends in pittsburgh (go steelers) saturday night. i guess there is one similar here in columbus called howl at the moon. anyways, it was so much fun. i was pissed at the $6 cover but realized it was well worth it after the first 5 minutes in there. my favorite part was when they asked anyone from the U.S. military to come up on stage for the song "proud to be an american". i had tears streaming down my face throughout the whole song. overall, the bar was awesome and it was a micro brewery so they had good beer too! i would recommend going to one if you have the chance! anyone else ever been to one? thoughts? PhreeZone 20 #2 December 13, 2004 Howl at the Moon... you've never been there? And how long have you lived in Columbus? That was one of the first things that I did when I came here for college. alanab 0 #5 December 13, 2004 seth. wheres pat o'brians? mailin... there were a ton of bachlorette parties when we were there! would be fun! i also wanted to say they played the song i will survive with different words making fun of women, then the girls gave them money to switch it to making fun of guys, then it went back and forth until the women in the bar had raised over 300 some dollars and the guys couldnt beat that so the song went on making fun of guys! jraf 0 #14 December 13, 2004 Yeah, there used to be a place in Station Square in Pittsburgh. Really cool place, really cool times - there were no 'Proud to be an American' songs then. It was 'American Pie' and 'Joy to the World' Next thing you know we will be singing 'America the Beautifull' and the 'Star Spangled Banner' in bars. I love it when a bunch of drunken jackasses get teary eyed patriotic - bunch of gun totin' nascar drivin' Jesuses!jraf Me Jungleman! Me have large Babalui. The one in SAtown is pretty good, but like most San Antonio nightlife... Fri and Sat are the only days to really go out. Everybody down there works like a dog so the nightlife is usually dead except for those two days. ____________________________________________________________ I'm RICK JAMES! Fo shizzle. Vallerina 2 #18 December 13, 2004 You should take me there in May when I'm in Perris for the big-way and 100-way camp! AndyMan 7 #19 December 13, 2004 There used to be on in Toronto called (not surprisingly) Dueling Piano's. Not sure if it's still around. Craichead and I visited one in Chicago called 'Howling at the Moon". It was a whole lotta fun... Pretty much the only way to get a request played was with bribery. Bribing a request for Brian Adams with Canadian currency went over really well.... _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
wee 0 #20 December 13, 2004 whenever my friends "lose" me in new orleans... it's usually because i've drifted off to howl at the moon (a similar bar in new orleans & san antonio--much crazier in n.o.!!!)... i loooooove it! i've also been to sing sing in newport beach and pete's in dallas. i love them all -- always a favwe found a "pat" last time we went-- don't worry he/she had no idea If the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off!
