eeneR 3 #1 December 16, 2004 Over the last few years I have been regularly getting full body massages. I usually go to a freind at the DZ or I go to one of the massage therapists at my gym's Spa. Well last night was no different. Well so I thought......I have had several girls over there, all of which have been outstanding. So last night I had "Helga" (name changed) She was a nice lady. Well Helga had a bit different technique then I was used to, and I have trusted the Gym Spa to make sure the girls are qualified. When I went to bed last night...my back actually hurt. My spine is bruised.....A lot of time there is a bit of pain with massage when working out knotted muscles....so I just trusted her.....yea well. Layed in bed last night and as soon as my back hit the bed I almost screamed. Today is going to be a long day, as slowly but surely now that im at my desk my back is hurting more and more. And yes, a call will be made to the SPA as this is not acceptable. I have had my back worked on HUNDREDS of times...and never had this kind of pain. I knew it was my bed, since I'd travel some where and sleep on a different bed, and my back was fine. Plus you could hear the springs make a noise every time I laid down. Now with the new bed I have I can't wait to go to bed in the evenings. brierebecca 0 #15 December 16, 2004 I hate to be the obnoxious law student here, but if your back keeps hurting badly enough to take all of those painkillers, it might be a good idea to at least consider filing suit. I'm not saying do so right away, because you'd have to show some sort of damage other than your pain, but if your back is bruised, it would be a good idea to take some pictures and start documenting how you feel, just in case you have to see a chiropractor. Because if you do, you're probably not going to want to foot the bill yourself. The only reason I'm suggesting this is because spinal damage can be serious, and take a long time to detect, and we just read a case in one of my classes where improper documentation was a bar to recovery for this lady, and she lost thousands of dollars in medical bills and lost wages because her back was so badly damaged by her masseuse.
