Snowflake 0 #1 December 17, 2004 Waxing nostalgic Listining to one of my favorite old bands that came out of DFW (ok really Dallas/Denton) in the late 80's Ten Hands (5 men 10 hands). The New Bohemians were on the rise nationally the Revrend Horton Heat were just shaking it down and TEN HANDS just came creeping onto the seen. Powered by the dynamo of Harvin and Dillon on drums and percussion, these guys came as close as you can get in the "biz" and not get there. Anyway I found all there stuff on the web, so if your bored give it a listen and let me know wht you think good or bad. This is not a promo since the band has been defunct for 13 years anyway blah blah blah.....have good one http://www.doomsday.com/john/10hands/music/kungfu/03-Old_Eyes.mp3 This would have been a top 40 hit (shitty rip, but my statement still stands) http://www.doomsday.com/john/10hands/music/tboic/10-WorldWithNoMoney.mp3 Holy shit ......this was a old song that got redone . smart lyrics definitly showcases the things I loved about Harvin and Dillon drums talking on the break Harvin working that high hat like nobodys business.....taken from a live recording at Dada.....not much overdubbing http://www.doomsday.com/john/10hands/music/tboic/08-YouAreMyFix.mp3 Haunting, beautiful http://www.doomsday.com/john/10hands/music/tboic/07-Jimbo.mp3 Really funny If your under 30 and managed to listen to a song or 2 I'd really like to hear what you think good or bad......just curious
AggieDave 6 #2 December 17, 2004 Definately VERY 80's but still good music. Very enjoyable. I bet these guys would have been fun to see in concert.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
