jb092 0 #28 December 17, 2004 For some thing it really doesnt matter. Like most box food products, it all tastes the same to me. For tools I found the name brands are the best to stick to. What could possibly go wrong?

MikeJD 0 #30 December 17, 2004 Two foodstuffs where I'd never go for the cheap option- baked beans (have to be Heinz) and anything with meat in it. Whenever I see, say, 'economy' burgers, I wonder what the hell might be lurking inside. Mind you, that's probably true of brand name burgers too... And I don't often wear branded clothes, especially if they have an obvious logo. I think it's pretty insulting that you should have to pay top dollar to be a walking billboard for a clothing manufacturer...
PhillyKev 0 #31 December 17, 2004 QuoteQuoteQuote lot of it is social. Harleys are not built for speed, they are built for cruising. Relax, sit back, enjoy the ride. Not entirely true. The fastest dragsters are Sportsters. You're not going to take the twisties as fast on a cruiser, but you can have lots of fun on a wide open highway. Umm I thought the turbo'd jap bikes were quite a bit faster than any harley drag bikes. I know a guy that put the turbo from a Subaru WRX on his Dyna Glide. That sucker is FAST! Andrewwhyte 1 #34 December 17, 2004 I think Apple Computerites (Jobsites?) are as fanatical at Harley fans. Chevy trucks if you want a comfortable ride around the city Fort trucks if you need to use them for working.
AggieDave 6 #35 December 17, 2004 QuoteChevy trucks if you want a comfortable ride around the city Fort trucks if you need to use them for working. Nope, not quite. Ford 1/2 tons SUCK. Even the '04 with the better frame is so underpowered good luck doing anything besides going down the highway in it. Chevy for gas power, Ford for diesel. And to the other truck guy in the thread: Do you know what "King Ranch" actually is?--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." nanook 1 #36 December 17, 2004 Yup, THE King ranch is the largest cattle ranch in texas and one of the biggest single owned piece of land in the U .S. Captain King did a lot of great things(including river boat captain) before building this huge and still running ranch that started sometime in the 1800's. they also deal with leather. My dad bought me a saddle from there for my 19th birthday. My truck leather is from there also. The Price is worth it._____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

I've run into more then a few folks with the King Ranch edition that didn't know fuckall about The King Ranch or that even the brand is part of the logo on the truck's badging. They just thought it "looked good" and bought one.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
nanook 1 #38 December 17, 2004 I've never thought about it like that. I thought everyone knew about that ranch. If anything, the leather's origin should be more a novelty than its actual looks. that means it's probably a yuppie-mobile to most peoples' eyes . I hope potential thiefs don't catch attention to it._____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

nanook 1 #41 December 17, 2004 King Ranch is a step up from the Lariat(luxury) model of the Ford trucks. They replace the lariat leather with the King Ranch leather and do other stuff. It's a special edition like the Harley Davidson._____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
