profallrate 0 #1 December 13, 2004 Another great weekend of jumping at the School of Human Flight. Weather was a little iffy on Saturday but Sunday was absolutely beautiful. Contrary to what I have heard lately, "all" the jumpers have not left here. We have a talented, seasoned group of belly flyers, and we had some great 4 and 6 way jumps on Sunday. A good bit of our core jumpers were there, along with a few new faces. The silly flyers (freeflyers) were there too doing that thing they do. Tandems and students were present. All in all, a fun weekend. It was great to see Christain and Tiffany, ya'll come around more often! white_falcon 0 #2 December 13, 2004 I for one absolutely agree Keith. I know I am very new to the sport but all at the DZ have been nothing but good to my wife and I. We greatly appreciate all the time the experienced jumpers take to ensure we are safe and all the free advice that is readily given. We are very much looking forward to finishing up our student / pre licensing stuff so we can get in the air with some of the great people out there and really learn how to fly with others. We also had a blast riding the plane up on Sat afternoon with out Best friend and leaving just ahead of him doing his first tandem (a graduation present suitable for a lawyer, lol). profallrate 0 #3 December 16, 2004 Thanks for the input Scott. We have jumpers from all age groups and experience levels. From FSU students to geezers(sorry Mr Bill). From 1 jump to 7000 or so jumps. That's what makes it fun(and interesting sometimes). We will be out this week end provided I get back in from Baltimore. A good friend of ours is getting a tandem jump for his son, we would like to see it. My best friends acutal graduation ceremony is Friday in Gainesville and then we are going to look at another horse on Sunday, in Crystal River. Depending on whats going on Sat, we may or may not be able to squeeze in a cpl jumps, (I HOPE we can!!) Anyway, thanks for the reminder about the gloves, lol, My hands STILL hurt. I leave for Baltimore(brrr,cold) tonight, hoping to be back tomorrow night and jump Saturday. If not, Debi will be there anyway. I am originally from Thomasville, GA. and have family and friends in Tall/T'ville. gaskydiver 0 #8 December 18, 2004 Hey Keith, you're right. I've only been out once or twice since my accident in N.C., and only to sit on the sidelines. But there are a bunch of good people there that will not hesitate to get the newer jumpers involved and offer helpful criticism. I even get asked to jump with you guys, every now and then, and some of those invitations have come from Fortson. I like jumping at other drop zones when I can, but Skydive Tallahassee is my home dz. I finished most of my AFF there, got my A there, got my B there, and like going there. Hope to be back in January, provided I get all my equipment back from being repaired and serviced. Doug C.
