She was a brave passenger, 'cause it was windy as hell and I was scared! We flew from Lantana, Florida to Pahokee (where Skydive America was located). Landed at Pahokee and it was so windy that once I parked on the tarmac, I was barely able to get the plane turned around in the direction I wanted. I tried a right turn with the wind off my left rear quarter, and the plane almost wouldn't go that way. The tail surface was fighting the friction of the wheels. Thankfully, the wheels won! It was one of those flights that I should not have made, given the conditions. But the centennial of powered flight only comes around once.
