InflightSupv 0 #1 December 21, 2004 White Christmas in Houston??? Could it actually be? According to weather.com it might happen Houston Weather Forecast Aggie Dave, you really screwed us , with that other post, talking about how warm it was down here. AggieDave 6 #2 December 21, 2004 HA! I really really doubt this, I think this is the weather forcasters trying to get little kid's hopes up. Do you think the ground will be cool enough to let the snow stick? I'm not sure, it might be, but then again, it might not be...eitherway that's *great* news for the Aggies as we're leaving on the 25th to drive to collegates. I'm sure the bridges will be in great shape. Atleast everyone in Houston knows how to drive in those conditions...OH, wait, they like to accelerate thought the loss of traction then SLAM on their brakes...--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Amanduh 0 #3 December 21, 2004 It has snowed in Houston before. It's just a few flurries and it melts the second it hits the ground. Nothing really spectacular.
InflightSupv 0 #4 December 21, 2004 At 21 for a low, I'm sure it would be cool enough, although Amanduh may be right when it comes to accumulation.
Amanduh 0 #5 December 21, 2004 Winter began officially at 6:42 AM this morning; and we will really believe it with what is ahead. Today, unseasonably warm weather with a few showers. By tonight and early tomorrow much more thunderstorm activity. Tonight, at 70% and tomorrow morning, at a 60% chance. Cold weather starts moving in tomorrow with temperatures staying in the 50s all day. We will see a little rain or even freezing precipitation early Thursday but there is only a 10% chance of that happening. From that point on, very cold weather will prevail with lows in the 20s both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. But at least it will be dry at that point.
