AggieDave 6 #1 December 21, 2004 Man, I forgot how freak'n complex this game is. No wonder I loved it as a kid. Morgan gave me a Gamboy Advanced for X-mas (gave it to me early since I was laid up in the house for the past 3 days due to my back) and I've been playing it nearly straight for the past 3 days...not quite finished the game yet. I used to play it on the SNES and had beaten it a couple times on that system, but I've forgotten quite a bit, so its almost like a brand new game. Any other Zelda fans out there?--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
mailin 0 #2 December 21, 2004 OMG! I love Zelda! The first game I ever programmed was a Zelda clone - one of these days I"ll get it to do more levels. Zelda kicks ass - I remember playing it for HOURS on end when it came out for the first NES. I think I got Zelda 1, 2 and 3 done in a matter of weeks Thats an awesome present! Now, if they would only get some more cool games for GameCube, I'd be happy JenArianna Frances
AggieDave 6 #3 December 21, 2004 Yeah. This is my only "modern" gaming system besides my computer. I'm waiting for the PS3 or the X-Box2 to buy a "modern" system...although I'm tempted to buy a ps2 just for the new GTA. Oh, it was basically a fair trade for Xmas...I had "my" jeweler (the one that did the engagement ring) make a NICE diamond pendant in white gold with a white gold chain...I love watching her get jewelry...I like the gasp/sigh sound too. Makes me smile.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

Vallerina 2 #7 December 21, 2004 Yes, it's my ringtone, and I run to Zelda by System of a Down! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
AggieDave 6 #8 December 21, 2004 Quoteand I run to Zelda by System of a Down! Yup, as goofy as it sounds, that's a cool cover song/remake whatever you want to call it. Just a cool, kinda odd song.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
airborne31582 0 #9 December 21, 2004 Wow Dave, I've been playing Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the past week or so. Ever since I got hurt, been playing a lot more video games then I usually do. I'm reminded about how pissed off I used to get at this game....fun as hell though Chris I thought of the odds of me succeeding, versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid, and I went ahead anyway. You are going to be waiting a while - at least the end of 2006 or Q1 2007 before those systems come out. Not one developer has a SDK yet to start making games, and most companies take at least a year to make a console game. Why wait? The games made for PCs right now will be what the next gen of console games will look like._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... Rumor has it that the Xbox 2 dev kits (dual G5s, ATI R500s) are shipping, and that Xbox 2 street date is 1Q05. Then again, I was supposed to be running Longhorn by now. And IBM was talking today that the Cell chip won't even start to get fabricated until late 2005 (the PS3 cpu)._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... Did you hear the announcment about multiple CPUs on one chip? IBM, Intel and AMD are all doing it. Essentially SMP on one chip._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again..... And IBM was talking today that the Cell chip won't even start to get fabricated until late 2005 (the PS3 cpu). That's not merely a rumour. An XBOX2 dev kit is a Dual Processor G5 Apple system. Microsoft bought a LOT of them. IBM is making a custom 3 CPU chip based on the G5 core to power XBOX2. ATI are making the graphics chip and I think the early dev kits have Radeon 9800 Pro graphics cards in them. AFAIK the actual date for XBOX2 is end of 2005. When Microsoft starts making real units the dev kits will quickly transition to the real thing. The G5 systems are not the same as the XBOX2 design but they have a common instruction set for a lot of stuff. The XBOX2 has some unique and interesting architectural features and some additional vector instructions on the G5 cores. It won't just be a modified PC like the XBOX. Game companies are developing XBOX2 games on dual CPU G5 Apple systems TODAY, in anticipation of the launch. Console launches are always like this, early dev kit doesn't match teh target hardware but lead times on games mean you have to improvise.
