jb092 0 #2 December 21, 2004 I usally try to hold my breath as long as possible and drink a big glass of water at the same time. and that usally works. I do find the more frustrated I get the worse they get, so just try to relax. What could possibly go wrong?

Girlfalldown 0 #6 December 21, 2004 you have to do a number of things at once to get rid of em. Hold your breath blink your eyes over and over again swallow over and over again dont forget to keep blinking now while doing those three things at once, place the palms of your hands very close together and try to get your fingers as close as you can get them without touching. Don't forget to swallow and blink your eyes. Still holding your breath? I swear this shit works.

happythoughts 0 #8 December 21, 2004 How to stop them depends on what caused them. - a full stomach - feeling of a full stomach - stress/anxiety - smoking an unusual amount Full stomach can be caused by: - Eating too much too fast. - Drinking too much alcohol. Full stomach feeling: - Sudden change in stomach temperature, such as drinking a hot beverage and then a cold beverage. - Chewing gum causes air to be swallowed. Any clues? Best solution - do a lot of slow stretching of your upper abdominal area in all directions.

sundevil777 102 #10 December 21, 2004 Sit down, relax with no movement, then, exhale slowly and so deeply that you feel starved for oxygen, but put up with for a long time, then slowly inhale but not deeply. Concentrate on controlling your diaphragm during the transition. Do two cylcles of this you are free of it! Guaranteed, sorta.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

happythoughts 0 #14 December 21, 2004 QuoteOh my god! That was VERY thorough, Bill! A while back, I used to chew a lot of gum while working. It gave me the hiccups, indigestion, and a sore throat. I figured that it must be the gum chewing, so I did some reading while trying to figure it out. All the sources say almost the exact same thing. cocheese 0 #22 December 21, 2004 I know I'm late , but next time: Breathe into a paper bag (or plastic bag). Breathe slowly and calm yourself. The CO2 will stop it.Not sure how safe it is, but it works every time in about a minute .
wmw999 2,584 #23 December 21, 2004 And yet another. Fill a small glass (e.g. juice-sized) with water. While standing, sip water from the far rim rather than the close one. Drink as much of the water as you can that way. You will have to bend deeply at the waist to do this. This, too, really works. Better than the sugar. jumpwally 0 #25 December 21, 2004 Hey Bill,,if you look closely, you will see she is naked by a winshield doing something,,,i've asked her for the story behind it, but nothing. Maybe you will have luck........................and now the absolute hic cup cure............fill a 6-8 oz glass with water,,,get a book of match's..open it all up,lite the match's,,,now put the burning match book out by sticking it in the glass,,,count to three and take the matchbook out,,quickly drink all the water in the glass. Its the sulfur residue that interacts in your airway thats stops the hic ups,,,chemical reaction,,,never failed me yet......wallysmile, be nice, enjoy life FB # - 1083
