moodyskydiver 0 #1 November 24, 2004 Ok no not literally *shudder at the thought* but I finally met my little one today and shes a perfect little handful. Those of you who know me and know I've been going through some rough spots have known about this on going search to get a Boston Terrier as a companion.Well after alot of research and emails and calls and looking at dogs I finally found her! She was born Nov 9th and she is 2 weeks old today. I sat with her and her siblings around me for a while trying to make such a hard decision because they were all so adorable and cute that I wanted to scoop them all up and take them home.Even though there was another female that had prettier markings, this one kept crawling over to me and into my lap..she knew I was her new home before I did apparently and she was just waiting on me to figure it out.I'd look at a few of the pups and set them aside and she'd just keep crawling back over like "ok, when are you going to get the hint already?" None of the others did this as they were all looking for their mother who was standing over my shoulder licking my ear. But not my little one, she just kept curling up in my lap and going to sleep.I didn't pick her..she picked me and I guess thats how it works out sometimes.I'll be going back to pick her up and bring her home for good Dec 21.Now I just have to find a name for her and start buying puppy stuff to welcome her home. moodyskydiver 0 #5 November 24, 2004 Hey my apt complex has a 35lb max weight limit on all pets. I'm going for the noise making effect, rather than the bite your ass off effect. Besides, Bostons are very good watch dogs even if their size doesnt make them good guard dogs and they are very loyal breeds. For now, who give a shit she just so damn cute!! AggieDave 6 #6 November 24, 2004 I'm sure she'll get big and bad...just right now she'd stop a perp simply out of sure cuteness. Breaking the poor perp's heart, you'll find the asshole in your doorway weaping holding your puppy.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." flyangel2 2 #8 November 24, 2004 Oh, how cute. I'm so glad you got a puppy. Now you remember to get her out and walked. That's one thing I do everyday with my dogs and they love their walks.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. moodyskydiver 0 #12 November 24, 2004 QuoteWhatcha gonna name her? Do I feel a new poll coming on?? LOL nah I dont have enough names to warrant a list for a poll. If people want to make suggestions of names I'm open.Right now I'm kicking around the name Daisy because shes just so dainty and sweet but I might come across something I like better.(note: I'm not necessairly looking for a skydiving related name). jesus!its already mutated into its own thread. Thanks guys lol! Clownburner 0 #23 November 30, 2004 QuoteBesides, Bostons are very good watch dogs even if their size doesnt make them good guard dogs and they are very loyal breeds. Well, they're pretty loyal. Because they have some bulldog in their ancestry though, sometimes they sleep through the whole 'watch dog' thing. My boston is a good watch dog when he's awake, but I've walked right past him when he's asleep. Oh, and he tends to bark from the bedroom while hiding under the blankets to make sure it's safe before coming out. But they're awfully snuggly little tykes. moodyskydiver 0 #24 December 22, 2004 Well my puppy finally came home last night. She had a very traumatic day having been separated from her mom for the first time, getting all her first puppy shots, ear mite treatment, worming, first bath and then accidentally getting her nails clipped too short and 2 bled (stupid meanie breeder). So by the time I got there to pick her up she was tired and droopy from the shots...poor thing. But she perked up by the time we got home and played a bit before bed time. She was afraid of the crate and pet taxi so me being the softy that I am I caved and let her sleep in bed with me.So I got no sleep, afraid I'd roll over on her lol. Shes curled up in my lap right now being adorable. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
