Am I a "Tackleberry?"

Tackleberry graduated from the Police Academy, though.

Give me time sir, give me time. I'm studying for the entrance exam in April.:)

To what? Your sixth year?

I didn't know you were interested in LE. I thought you were going military.

If you can talk Redass into it, move to LA and do the LAPD thing for a couple years, then you can write your ticket. If you want a lifelong career in LE, then the stuff you will see and do in a huge metro police department will move you very far.

People will always ask you where you started, and when you say "East LAPD" you win.

Even against guys who answer "West Oakland"

Good luck.

I was going military, until I blew my knee all to hell. The USMC said "buuuh-bye" about a year and a half ago and tore up my PLC contract due to my knee.

So LE is the route for me. I'm motivated, been studying up and going out of my way to talk to LEOs (not getting pulled over, going to functions and such) to work on getting known and getting in.

I'm not sure I could talk Morgan into moving to LA though...she's a Texas gal and I'm a Texas guy...does East Houston work as well?;):P

That's what 'April' said about ya!

(....Okay...I'll quit!)

Well, actually, April shouldn't know...I wasn't *that* drunk to not remember anything...and she was with Grossman at the time, so it would have been quite bad. Even if he is the scariest swooper this side of Yoshi...

(sorry Yoshi, couldn't help it...>:(:P:P)

No.

Nothing is like LA. Think two years and then you can write your ticket.

Plus, they hire just about anything with a pulse.

The investment is completely worth it. When somebody else is saying "one time at this trailer in East Houston.." you come back with "No shit? Well this one time in West Hollywood....."

You win.

Just like when somebody says "This one time in boot camp" and somebody comes back with "Huh? Well we were on the Russian border in Afghanistan once and..."

Both those stories involve opium don't they?:P

Well, I'm gonna talk to Morgan in another 2 years after I'm hopefully in and have a very little bit of experience...then maybe to go LA, then move back to TX and call it from there.

Always thought of you as more of a Texas
Ranger...

You have to have been in the DPS for atleast 15 years officially. Unofficially you have to have been in a shoot as well. The guy that took down the t.u. sniper was officially made a ranger "on the spot" by the govenor, by the way.

DOH!
Besides he like revolvers - you tend to lean toward semi-auto.:D
I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama
