bobsled92 0 #51 December 27, 2004 QuoteI was given the following from my immediate family: *Pearl bracelet (with mini diamonds) ~ From Father/mother (price tag accidentally left on...WOW $$$$~~~) *Gift certificate to Bloomingdale's ~ From father/mother *Digital camera ~ From father/mother *Home furnishings ~ from Mother/father *More $$$ ~ from Mother/grandmother *Book of Poems of what it means to have a daughter ~ from father/mother *Banana Republic gift certificate + beautiful leather purse ~ 1 Brother & his girlfriend *Gorgeous wool chevron-patterned purse from Banana Republic ~ 2nd Brother & wife *Beautiful wool peacoat ~ From boyfriend (and more coming up, he says hmmm?) Gifts from family to my doggie: *Beautiful plush duck and two huge bones ~ Brother + girlfriend *Beautiful ceramic fire hydrant doggie "cookie jar" ~ Brother + wife (Great gift because a few weeks ago I had driven two hours just to get my doggie and my brother's GF's doggies white chocolate covered doggie bisquits, which I could now place in my doggie's "cookie jar"! ) *Huge box full of doggie gifts/toys & new doggie bed ~ from mother/father/grandmother My gifts to myself: *Trip to Sebastian in February *Feathered wings for February... *Pretty pink and blue wigs for fun! (Never played dress up with wigs before, but now....bwahahahaha...Las Vegas, maybe?) *VERY expensive designer shoes *Gorgeous voile napkins + lace napkin rings *Unusual teapot *3 track/jog pants + 2 tops to wear at the DZ before/during/after jumps Will be buying a main, soon ~ *Probably more stuff...I can't remember I gave many, many beautiful gifts to loved ones, but that is for another thread. Let's just say that I spent all the money that I would have spent jumping these last few months (and at a boogie) on everyone else. Seeing/hearing/reading about the smiles and happiness that it brought others made it all worthwhile. ________________________________________________ Looks like you hit the JACK POT!(I feel that I did too)_______________________________ If I could be a Super Hero, I chose to be: "GRANT-A-CLAUS". and work 365 days a Year. http://www.hangout.no/speednews/
Sheenster303 0 #52 December 27, 2004 I got to see my brother, sister-in-law, and nephew. That was all I cared about having this Christmas, but I did get some stuff that I really did not expect. I got.. *A comforter set because I was whining about having to sleep with my old ratty comforter. *A sweater *My mom made a cross-stitch of a poem about flying and converted the words so it was about skydiving. She cross-stitched little skydivers and everything. She framed it and now it's on my wall. *More of my smell good stuff from Bath & Body Works from my sister (I was really wondering where I was going to get the money to replenish my stash) *A couple of DVDs *Candle stuff and a vase from my manager at work *a "World's Greatest Aunt" hanging pillow from my nephew (That's my favorite gift this year b/c I hardly get to see him and it made me feel good)I'm so funny I crack my head open! skymama 37 #59 December 27, 2004 My whuffo boyfriend took the initiative to figure out where the dz is and made the hour round trip just to buy me 5 jump tickets. I was impressed, he could have just put them on my account over the phone. I also got some other things from him and my family, but they aren't nearly as exciting as that. I can jump with no guilt for a change! But as I mentioned in a posting a little while back, with enough determination, persistance and desire, you might be able to overcome that opinion.
