skybytch 273 #1 January 4, 2005 Okay, so I wasn't forced, I went of my own free will. I've been avoiding reading the Harry Potter series and/or seeing the Harry Potter movies. Didn't want to buy into the hype, can't ever be one of the masses, y'know? And then, on the way to Eloy last week, someone started to play the books on tape version of the first book. And I got sucked in. I'd bought the second book within 24 hours of returning from Eloy. I'd have bought the third book today but the used bookstore was closed and I'm currently too cheap/broke to buy it new. So when is the newest one due? I need to know how long I have to get and read the other ones so I can be ready to buy and read the new one the day it's released.

I'm outta here as soon as I can get my lazy ass out of bed tomorrow morning. But thanks anyway!
 AggieDave 6 #9 January 4, 2005 Its a good story huh? I tried to do the same thing, fight off Harry Potter. I made it until the 4th book came out, it was around that time that the first movie came out on video and a roommate rented it. I grudgenly watched the movie (I was bored) and became interested. 3 days later I had made 4 seperate trips to Barnes and Nobles and had read those 4 books (and was left twitching on my couch pissed off the 5th book wasn't out yet). Now I'm getting excited about the 6th book, I'm going to reread the series (or atleast the last couple of books) so I'm up to speed on the story again for the next installment.Never would have guessed a 24yr old redneck was motivated for Harry Potter's story, but hell, I can't help it, its a fun read.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
