RkyMtnHigh 0 #1 January 6, 2005 Just noticed this warning label: WARNING: Contents under pressure, cap may blow off causing eye or other serious injury. Point away from face and people, especially while opening. Unbelievable! someone must have sued over this one too. I wonder if carbonated drinks will be not allowed on airlines one day _________________________________________
Randy_H 0 #2 January 6, 2005 I wonder if anyone has ever tried to sue a 7-11 over a brain freeze from the slurpee? There is no warning label, and it could cause intense pain. Hmmm.... do I smell some new gear? 010010010110010101100001011101000111000001110101011100110111001101111001
adamjenner 0 #3 January 6, 2005 it's funny you mention that, because those bottles have a SHIT load of pressure. once at work i was stocking pop bottles on the shelves and one fell off and the cap popped off and the pressure was SO great it shot the bottle from isle 6 (pop isle) all the way to club pack isle 1 (about 70ft away) in a matter of 5 seconds. haha what was funnier was the trail of pop spanning aross 9 isles
AggieDave 6 #4 January 6, 2005 I put a dent in the roof of a school bus when I was in high school with the cap from a Mt. Dew bottle. Drink the drink down to the last 1/4 of the bottle or so. Now shake shake shake...shake shake shake...shake your bottle...shake your bottle Now unscrew the lid just to the point before it starts to let air escape, where the cap is loose but still air tight. Use your thumb or fore finger on your left hand while holding the bottle in your right hand (and squeezing a bit) and "spin" the cap off. If you're outside it'll fire nearly 40' in the air. If you're inside you'll damage the ceiling. Enjoy.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
Nutz 0 #5 January 6, 2005 What I like to do is pour a little LN2 in the bottle, quickly put the cap back on and get away from it. In a few moments the nitrogen will expand enough to force its way out of the bottle in a most violent manner. "Don't! Get! Eliminated!"
cvfd1399 0 #6 January 6, 2005 I use a 3 litre bottle a bit of warm water and a few pellets of dry ice. If you time it right once you put the cap on it, shake it and throw it when it hits the ground it goes off like a grenade! you can even make them a remote detonate. Put just enough in it so that it swells up to the label rips off and the cap is bulging you can sit it some where to ambush something like a stray cat or a room mate. Sit back with a pellet gun and when the person is in a safe range shoot the bottle!!!!
RkyMtnHigh 0 #7 January 6, 2005 So NOW it's clear to me why the 7UP bottle has a stupid Warning Label!!! _________________________________________

FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY, MAY CAUSE SERIOUS BURNS. Now you know companies don't normally put a warning lable on something unless they are sued for misuse or malpractice. Think about it.... edit - sperring "Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them."
