jumpergirl 0 #1 January 7, 2005 I just got this email from someone... what is your opinion on it? I have a weird feeling about it. "Dear sir/ma, I am interested in purchasing 10 pieces of your playstation 2 consoles. Pls email me your selling price and present condition .Also get back to me with your full name, contact address and phone number so that i be able to get in touch with you I will also like to know the mode of payment. I look forward to read from you fast" Aside from the fact that I only have 1 PS2 console on eBay... this is just weird.
SBS 0 #2 January 7, 2005 Well, he sounds serious. I would send him as much personal information to him as soon as you can...you don't want to miss this opportunity. -S_____________ I'm not conceited...I'm just realistic about my awesomeness...

I used Paypal all the time for eBay selling and buying. Also, I keep my identity as secretive as possible on eBay. I have things shipped to a different mailing address than my personal home address. You may want to do that. You don't need to exchange phone numbers, either...just keep up online (e-mails) with the questions and answers for the auction item. Btw, did this person actually win your auction item(s), or is it a random question from an eBayer? You can always let him/her know that you'd prefer to not reveal private info, and explain that you are only selling "XYZ" instead of what this person is asking for. The person should understand if you want to keep your privacy, as long as you are polite and professional about it, of course. Good luck! Just be sure to include a couple pictures in the email so he knows what you look like too. Seriously, There is no reason he needs any of that info unless he wins the auction. And even then, not your phone number.
 unformed 0 #6 January 7, 2005 If you only have one for sale, it's not really a problem. Just tell him that. Otherwise, I wouldn't really think much of it. I sell quite a bit on Ebay (have feedback of over 4000) and if somebody says want to buy a bunch things, they'll usually ask for a phone number. (although it seemes weird, that he said full contact name, address, etc.) ... I don't normally have a problem giving that out (i have checks sent to my house - but i also give with three other guys and aren't too worried.) at first i thought it might be a scam, but he asked you how you want payment, which makes it sound more legitimate. If he pays with Paypal, make sure he has a confirmed address, don't ship if he wants to pay by escrow. (and wait for money orders/cashier checks) ..... i would just tell him that you only have one for sale, .... and that should end it but people really are retarded on ebay ... i get all kinds of stupid questions constantly...This ad space for sale.
