piisfish 140 #27 January 6, 2005 Won't change my profile, but will be posting less due to a recent event in my life. I finally got a job, so only posting at night for me... Or during lunch break. Sorry for Phillykev. Hope you get a new job soon, and that the person who did that will get the Tar and Feathers.scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

ChangoLanzao 0 #29 January 7, 2005 No. I've been doing this since *before UseNet*. I used to be a "SysOp" in "FidoNet" ... this sort of thing is not new, believe it or not. I learned a very long time ago that it's best to assume that anything posted, whether in a public message board, in a PM, or in an email can and will end up in the newspaper, or on the boss's desk the next day. Whenever posting anything at all, it's best to keep in mind that it WILL end up in the newspaper or otherwise be taken out of context, which could be pretty bad, depending on who you are and where you work. Not allowing oneself to get sucked into political or religious arguments, of course, is a good strategy to avoid becoming the target of unreasonable people who tend to get too easily annoyed. ******************************

christoofar 0 #31 January 7, 2005 I think it's kinda too late to make myself anonymous. Everybody who knows me through IM/PM, drunk dial, and met in person etc. knows who I work for, and everybody on here's seen me nekkid now ... Also considering that I've had my wallet with DL and some important legal papers stolen from me last year and been victim to identity theft twice... I'm not bothered. As far as someone trying to stir shit up with the current company I work for, that will never happen. I've known my boss for a long, long time. She and my exec mgm't already know all my shit so the chances of someone concocting anything effective is absolutely zilch. I've weathered a lot of bad times at my firm and made it out fine. That's more than what I can say for one company I put in a LOT of years for (United Services Automobile Association.. you can read all their employee dirt on The Complaint Station). I've discovered the larger the company you work for, the more psychotic they are. Some larger firms are now giving out personality tests like Myers-Briggs prior to employment to try to filter out the undesireables. What a waste. No way should have PK been fired for posting in here, even if we was doing so on company time. How many execs are trading stocks out of their brokerage accounts during working hours, HMM? I'm sure the accusations sent to his employer were totally baseless. PK should run, not walk, RUN to an attorney and see if he can file a civil lawsuit. It may not get him his job back, but it will definately help pay off expenses if he can get a settlement. ____________________________________________________________ I'm RICK JAMES! Fo shizzle. Well...I promise...if I run into you when you're in your gray suit, I'll pass on touching you so that you can have that pleasure yourself. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
