Evelyn 0 #1 January 8, 2005 Before I started skydiving snowboarding was my favorite sport. Last year only got like one weekend of snowboarding since the weather was always good for skydiving. Since I can't jump this weekend due to weather I'm going snowboarding with my daughter. My daughter went to Mammoth last year and learned to carve so now she can keep up with me and we won't have to hang out on the intermediate slopes. Should be a great time. We're just going locally, to Mountain High. Know some skydivers also snowboard so wondering if anyone else is gonna be there? And there's another storm waiting to slam us tomorrow afternoon/evening...don't get snowbound! Have a great time though! Evelyn 0 #3 January 8, 2005 Yeah, that's what my husband was telling me. But that is why we're going to Mountain High instead of Big Bear. They usually keep the roads really clear so you don't need chains. We'll see. I'll be really bummed if I can't go skydiving or snowboarding, maybe I'll have to stay home and bake cookies or something . linny 1 #9 January 8, 2005 What day are you going Evelyn? I'm thinkin about heading to Mtn High on Monday.... it could be my first ride of this season. Once last year when I was planning a Mtn High trip, they were requiring chains to get there (possibly to travel through the cajon pass??) so I just stayed home. Of course I'm the kind of person who hears of a blizzard in the mountains and will haul ass up there for fresh powder even back when all I had was a Mustang GT with no chains. I can not wait till I go snowboarding on the 28th. I might just take it up to the coast range and play around in the snow!!! YAY Can't you tell I'm excited??Garbage bags do not make good parachutes.
