jtval 0 #1 January 12, 2005 Kinda sounds like 'the Sky is falling" but its true. see for yourself We went boarding on saturday and that lift was closed due to avalanche control. I guess they Messed up. one dead in vegas avalanche ***LAS VEGAS A youth golf tournament is being renamed for a 13-year-old Las Vegas boy killed Sunday when an avalanche swept him off a chair lift at a Mount Charleston ski resort. The Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort is still closed while U-S Forest Service investigators probe what happened. And residents who live on the mountain are being warned that there's still an extreme risk of avalanches. Allen "Brett" Hutchison was an avid and accomplished golfer who'll be remembered as the namesake of a Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association tournament at Angel Park Golf Club. The eighth-grader gave up a day of golfing Sunday with his dad -- Nelson Hutchison -- to go snowboarding after fresh snow fell on the mountain. His mom -- Rita Hutchison -- was at the lodge and his older sister was on another slope when the avalanche swept him awayMy photos My Videos
