Evelyn 0 #1 January 13, 2005 Think there was already a thread on this same subject, but at the time I hadn't yet figured my goals, so now am posting - hope that is okay. Anyway I ended up with a list of like 20 goals - some were just boogies I plan to attend or different aircrafts I want to jump from, but some of my goals I could use help on the best way to acheive them. So here goes: Goal - Get really good at 4 way. Action - Attend the Excel camps at Elsinore and do another RW camp at Perris. Goal - Better canopy control. Action - Do another canopy control class. I did one at Perris with Clint Clawson and he was awsome, but at the time all I wanted was to land standing up. Now I want more. Goal - Work on my sit fly. Action - I learned to sit fly in the Vegas tunnel, then tried it out in the air and couldn't hold it very long. Want to do training at the Perris tunnel and then jumps with a freefly coach. Those these are some of my goals. If anyone can offer any advice I'd appreciate. Also would like to know what goals other people have. THANKS! LaDonna 0 #7 January 13, 2005 My skydiving goals for 2005 - Complete AFF training - currently AFF2 - maybe now that the rain has stopped I can get thru AFF training - Get my A License - Meet Evelyn, Michelle and a other's whose posts I have been reading over the past 9 months or so. I would list all of you whom I would like to meet but then the post would be to long. - Get over shyness so that I can achieve the above goal. - Go to a few boogies - Get more tunnel time - Take a canopy control class - I love the freefall time, not real comfortable flying the canopy and knowing where to be when; 1000ft, 500ft, 250ft - Figure out how to judge 10-12 ft off the ground to flare at the right time. I am a very bad judge of distance so I hope I can accomplish this is a relatively short time. FGF#

PrairieDoug 0 #19 January 13, 2005 Evelyn, I really like the way that you've thought through a strategy for reaching each of your goals. When I do that, I'm much clearer on what it takes to get where I want to be. DzDiva, I hope your post doesn't mean you won't be coming up to Chambersburg next season. (We chatted a few times -- or at least relaxed in close proximity between loads -- by the picnic tables last summer.)

Salsa_John 0 #21 January 13, 2005 - Take a canopy control class - I love the freefall time, not real comfortable flying the canopy and knowing where to be when; 1000ft, 500ft, 250ft Do this as soon as you pass AFF. You will be happy you did. - Figure out how to judge 10-12 ft off the ground to flare at the right time. I am a very bad judge of distance so I hope I can accomplish this is a relatively short time. Get someone to video your landings for the next 10 jumps. From the side will show you both where your hands are and how high you are flaring. I had the same problem. LaDonna 0 #25 January 13, 2005 Canopy Control Class and Packing Class are on the top of my list of things that I want to do. I see so many people write that they don't like packing, I wanted to learn to pack before I took my first jump. The video of the landings is a great idea. Since I am usually the one behind the camera, I will either have to teach someone how to use my camera or get a video of each of my AFF jumps and make sure that they focus on my landing. Thanks FGF#
