NWFlyer 2 #1 January 14, 2005 ...when you're playing hooky. All week I've been staring at the weather forecast (sunny) and my work calendar (2 p.m. meeting) for tomorrow. Finally said "screw it" and called to see if I can get an instructor tomorrow (I can) and checked with my boss to see if it's critical that I go to the meeting (it's not). It's an addiction, I tell you ..."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. Lainey 0 #3 January 14, 2005 Awe I know that feeling! I have some friends who work in IT and do 3 days on 3 days off so they spend a lot of time midweek at the dropzone. i'm sitting at my desk looking out the window to a beautiful blue summer's day and i get a text message telling me there is cheap hop and pops only 3 loads left, get down here! I want to go so badly, stupid work. at least it's saturday tomorrow. . NWFlyer 2 #4 January 14, 2005 Yeah, it was killing me I wasn't going to get a jump in this weekend (gambling in Vegas with my whuffo friends for the rest of the weekend, not that I'm complaining about that). Normally my job's really flexible and Friday afternoons are dead, but damned if this Friday wasn't an exception... oh well, as I always say, "if you don't ask, you don't get." <3 my boss right now! dzdiva 7 #5 January 14, 2005 It is that much sweeter. I developed the "blue flu" back in October. I left work, took two jumps and called them in the morning!"It's not just a daydream if you choose to make it your life..."
