No no no, my friend, the warehouse that they are moving into on 3rd street is almost complete, they are almost done building/renovating it, right now they are about to move in, the series won't premiere until next fall, MTV is still showing the philidelphia one. booyah;) now what do you think, Jeff? would that be fun, or just a hinderance?

Ahh, what a wonderful world.

I don't know what i think about having them at the dz. I think the whole premise of "Real World" has run its course. It is one of those shows that i wish would just go away.:D Sorry to be the grouchy old man.:D

Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

I'm a Real World junkie too, I can't help but watch it. B|That is pretty cool that they will be near you. You should try to get in contact with MTV and recommend they make a skydive as a team building exercise! Talk about free advertising for the dz!!

My schedule is pretty flexible during the week. I can spend a couple of months stalking the cast of Real World: Austin. I think I'll just hangout outside the window of their loft dressed like this.
I don't have an M.D. or a law degree. I have bachelor's in kicking ass and taking names.

What a worthless show. I HATE realworld.

Knowing the history of real world and the kind of people that are usually on it, it makes since they choose austin and not a real Texas city or town.

Oh, bite me. :P

I saw they were doing a Real World Austin, and I'm wondering how many of my drunk Texas friends will end up on that show (making asses of themselves, of course).

I'm serious, I really hate that show. I hate the personalities they put on the show and I hate the edit jobs that are blatently obvious.

I'm also not a fan of austin due to the "wanna-be intellectual sudo-liberal" attitudes. Literally everywhere else in Texas people are friendly and quality people, even in Lubbock...I guess I've had some bad experiences with those sorts of people in austin.

Ok, I can understand hating the Real World...

but I love Austin (not necessarily everyone who lives there, but there are assholes anywhere)... I've lived pretty much all over TX, and it is by far my favorite town (though I like most of TX). You're right, it's very different from the rest of TX... But if you're gonna be puttin' down my Austin pals, then I'm gonna have to keep sayin' "Bite me." :P

hehehe...

I want to make a bumper sticker that says "keep the weirdos in austin...and out of the rest of the state."

:P

A play on "keep austin weird" that you see all over the place.

You should come visit Boulder sometime, I think Austin is just trying to imitate them.

Hope it works out better than it did in Chicago. They were harassed endlessly - one group even tossed red paint on their front door. Go back and pay attention to the front door during the season and you will see it.

They held regular protests outside their house.

Do you mean 'pseudo'?:P

btw - I ran into similar people while in Fort Worth and know plenty of others from Dallas that would fit into that crowd.

Now, my question is - why do you think they are wannabes and not truly intelligent?

Every town has them...austin just seems to have a shitload more then others cities in Texas.

Due to the fact that they are unwilling to understand that other people have valid opinions. While I respect other people's politics and opinions, I may not agree with them, the folks I'm talking about take the viewpoint that you're simply wrong if you don't agree with them.

The rest of their yuppy lifestyle is simply annoying.:P
