I remember flying his Travel Air one day. I was flying the controls from the right seat when the left engine shut down abruptly. Half scared the crap out of me.......until asshole tells me "Oh.......yeah that side has a problem with the fuel vent. Just give it a minute and then restart it." Asshole! He was a damn good pilot. I remember in the late 80's early 90's I think it was he flew for Eastern Express. He was making $850 a month. Just putting his time in so he could get to the big leagues.
