LaDonna 0 #1 January 17, 2005 Going next weekend to get AFF 5,6,7,8 (hope for no repeats in order to accomplish this). AFF 4 was awesome - I LOVE FREE FALL!!!!! (sorry for yelling, but I am excited). Now I just have to figure out what is 10-12 feet off the ground to flare at the right height. I didn't do that today and it was not a pretty landing, as a matter of fact it was downright ugly. Gotta get this one figured out fast, no tunnel to practice in for this one. FGF#
sundevil777 102 #2 January 17, 2005 Don't they use radios?People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
LaDonna 0 #3 January 17, 2005 Yes, I had a radio, but I was supposed to do this landing without relying on it like I have on the others because level 5 I am supposed to be without a radio. (I am going to request one for landing help). I messed up, I was doing well on my approach, they said that things look good, to reassure me that they were there if I needed them. Then I started to flare to early so I kind of pumped the brakes, which is not good to get the lift for landing. Plus we did not have any wind on approach. Then I looked down at my feet instead of out in front of me where I was flying and to top it off I reached with my feet for the ground. FGF#
flyangel2 2 #4 January 17, 2005 Drop Mailin a PM and you and her can figure out what to do about those damn landings. Her story is here. Give her till later on Monday to get back to you, as she doesn't arrive home till late tonight.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
bigway 4 #5 January 17, 2005 Dont rush it, there is alot to learn all that in 2 days! There is no point to rush it, dont you think you should have some time in between to practise level 7 or level 8 with a few consolidation jumps. Slow down a bit, good on you for passing what i thought was the hardest level though. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
LaDonna 0 #6 January 17, 2005 Thanks, I will PM her. I was reading some of her progression and was very excited for her. FGF#
Evelyn 0 #7 January 17, 2005 You're doing great sweetie. You've breezed through levels 1 -4 , so no reason why you can't do that through the rest of your levels. I thought level 4 was the hardest and you aced that (know this since we've been PM'ing). As far as the landing thing, I think flaring early is something that a lot of us do in the beginning. I'm not experienced enough to give advice, but get good advice where you can, and I'm sure you'll learn very quickly. Good luck!
