Fab 0 #1 January 17, 2005 if the expected delivery of your custom ordered gear is 10 weeks and runs up to 16 to 19 weeks? Just curious as I choose option three every time I have to rent a rig at my DZ I just hope my rig will be worth all my patience.... _______________________________________
freeflir29 0 #2 January 17, 2005 That's why I LOVE being an American. We have a company called Racer that will send you a custom rig in 3-4 weeks EASY.
Fab 0 #3 January 17, 2005 3 to 4 weeks would be very nice indeed. In another thread somebody said building a rig takes about 40 manhours. Was wondering if this should be true then why the deliverytimes are so long? _______________________________________

bobsled92 0 #5 January 17, 2005 Well, I felt bad about mine being late because I wanted to jump it right BEFORE I got my shoulder operated on. >>>>>>>>>I arrived while I was *IN* surgery The rig was with EVERY option possible and WORTH IT.The reason it was late was just that they waited until after the due date to start it I did, however call(should say..returned calls to:) RWS regularly and knew what stage my rig was in as it was made They would be sure to call me to confirm the custom choices and embriodery. They were very honest the whole time. When I got it I was VERY HAPPY, got >exactly< what I wanted--no errors of a custom order and I think EGON was great the whole time I bugged him._______________________________ If I could be a Super Hero, I chose to be: "GRANT-A-CLAUS". and work 365 days a Year. http://www.hangout.no/speednews/
Fab 0 #6 January 17, 2005 That's a great looking rig..awesome <<'The reason it was late was just that they waited until after the due date to start it'>> Same here <They were very honest the whole time. >> Didn't called them much as I didn't want to keep them from their main task..that is to finish my rig asap Sadly I was promised at least my container and reserve would be shipped before christmas so I could jump it (just put a few demo mains in it)..but received nothing _______________________________________
cvfd1399 0 #7 January 17, 2005 I ordered wings 2.5 weeks ago, through a dealer. I have not been back to the dz, or heard anything from him or wings. I dont want to call the dealer and bother him due to his family issues, I wonder if I called wings and told them my info if they would know what rig I am refering to. I just want to hear from them that they dont need anything that we forgot like measurements, color stuff and have been wating to build the rig to get that stuff from me. And it would nice to get to talk to them for a second possible squeeze out a ballpard delivery date
flyangel2 2 #8 January 17, 2005 Here is a good thread about why rigs sometimes go pass their delivery date. There is more to making a rig then just sewing some things together. There are things that happen that are out of the manufacturer's control.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view.
