Jessica 0 #1 January 20, 2005 Just found out it's not the off-season anymore for Mexico, therefore the vacation I had planned will be too expensive. What's a good place to go that's warm this time of year? Are the beaches swimmable anywhere in the states in February?Skydiving is for cool people only

wmw999 2,589 #5 January 20, 2005 I saw about a hundred people swimming in Maine on new year's day -- you could go there. Of course, they weren't swimming for very long, but that'd just give you more time to drink a nice cold . You could try Key West, or Puerto Rico. tigra 0 #6 January 20, 2005 Well, I'm going to Mexico very reasonably next month and I just bought my plane ticket last week. Shop around! We're doing "air only" through Apple Vacations and I made my own hotel arrangements- nothing fancy but I'm sure it will be more than adequate and we may even have money left over to skydive and sight see! Even prime season, Mexico is cheaper than most beach destinations in the states! Oh. we're going to the boogie in Ixtapa! I realized I left that out of the post! I was down there for Spring Break a few years ago. The water was cold as hell and there were jellyfish everywhere. I've never seen so much beer consumed in such little time in my entire life. I did leave with some interesing video though
 AggieDave 6 #13 January 21, 2005 Quote I was down there for Spring Break a few years ago. Nah Corpus isn't all that great. The beaches suck in the summertime so winter wouldnt be much better. Although it was about 75 here today. I would suggest going to Pensacola, Florida. Go jump some beach jumps at Emerald Coast. Awesome views from the air there, and a great dropzone to boot. Pensacola beaches are spectacular and right down the road is Destin with even nicer beaches.
