Douva 0 #1 January 21, 2005 There are twenty official Bond films and three unofficial Bond films to choose from, so which is your favorite? I choose From Russia With Love. I think it has the best storyline of the entire series. My choice for second place is a lot harder to choose. Any Bond aficionados out there who care to chime in?I don't have an M.D. or a law degree. I have bachelor's in kicking ass and taking names.
AggieDave 6 #2 January 21, 2005 Hunt for the Red October... Oh. Ok, seriously. "Live and Let Die" for the music "From Russia With Love" for the story "Thunderball" since it encompasses every "Bond cliche" All in all a really fun film with action, love and a fun story. I guess I like all the Sean Connery James Bond movies...except "Never Say Never Again" which was the worst Bond film ever made. Alot of folks have never heard of that one, since it very very rarely gets played on TV.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Tonto 1 #3 January 21, 2005 3 unofficial bond films? I thought only "Never" was a bandit.. My favorite? Living Daylights. Mainly for the Gibralter opening scene - the re introduction of the Aston Martin and my fetish for the Walther WA-2000. Flame away! tIt's the year of the Pig. AggieDave 6 #5 January 21, 2005 Quote Whats an "Astim Martin"??!! Its a cheap chinese knock off of an Aston Martin. Kinda like the real thing, but the logo is backwards and a slightly different shade.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Stumpy 284 #10 January 21, 2005 Straight hijacking I'd say. We had best be careful though talking about guns - it'll get moved to SC by a moderator. Oh........... As far as Bond films go (desperately trying to bring it back on line!) anything with Sean Connery is good, and i have to say i reckon Brosnan is by far the best of the recent bonds, but I really liked OHMSS (I know loads of people will disagree). I think it was mainly because of the skiing.Never try to eat more than you can lift
Tonto 1 #11 January 21, 2005 So what about "For your eyes only"? There was good skiing in that too if I remember correctly? tIt's the year of the Pig.

samhussey 0 #18 January 21, 2005 I liked Goldeneye best (no I really did!). Pierce Brosnan has been let down by some poor Bond Scripts, but I genuinely enjoyed this one the most out of any that came before it.

Randy_H 0 #23 January 21, 2005 Every Bond movie with Sean Connery is great! For me, it would be a very close toss up between Diamonds are Forever and Dr. No.
quattro4Life 0 #24 January 21, 2005 QuoteGoldfinger. Bond: "Do you expect me to talk?" Goldfinger: "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!" no doubt. although i didnt like goldfinger as much as a book. Dr. No was the best of the books. whats everyones choice for the next bond? the current favorites are hugh jackman, clive owen, and ewan mcgregor. i probably like owen the best out of those, although jackman has a little more personality. -bI'm not the percent you think survives, I need sanctuary in the pages of this book... AggieDave 6 #25 January 21, 2005 Hugh Jackman has my vote, as if it matters...they could always clone Connery and run a whole new series. The problem is the expectations of the Bond gadgets now. In the '60s they were fantastic new devices that seemed so far beyond what was out there, yet could be something that a government has. Infact, remember the minature scuba tanks and mouthpiece that Bond could fit in his pocket? It was a total prop, made out of empty C02 cartridges, BUT the KGB honestly thought the US had that technology. They spent 3 or 4 years trying to make one, but failed... Now in the movies, the devices are so fantastic they're not even realistic. The audiences have grown to expect too much, out of the gadgets and the cars. Its taken a lot of the fun out of it, the fun that were in the original Bond films.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
